If you want to enjoy the outdoors or make use of an outdoor area in a better way, an easy, fast and relatively cost-effective means to do so is to invest in a deluxe screenhouse. Screen houses are the ideal solution for being able to relax outdoors without having to worry about harmful UV Rays and pesky mosquito's. Most deluxe screenhouses come complete with every thing needed to set up and assemble. Screen house tents will not just safeguard you from the elements and insects when outdoors, but will likewise provide you and your guest weather shelter just in case an occasional rain shower comes in unexpectedly.
Important note: Some cheap screen houses do not come with a roof enclosure like the Magellan Outdoors 14' X 12' Deluxe ScreenHouse on the marketplace, so be sure if your needing all weather protection outdoors you select the roof type screen house for better weather protection outdoors. At the same time, you can get a great view of everything outside, as well as excellent circulation of air. When compared with a tent, a screened camping tent is much better, due to the fact that it does not have solid side walls which will trap hot air inside making it unbearable to be in during the day time hours.Screen tent have a solid roof panel to prevent rain and sun rays in. The screened tent does not have solid side walls, therefore allowing the cool breeze to permeate the people inside. Another great feature of the screen house is it gives a nice 360 view into the tent and allows those preparing food or lounging in a folding chair inside to interact with people and nature.
Screen Houses come in a variety of sizes and are made by a number of different manufacturers. Some screenhouse tents are optimal for camping, while some of the others are much better for the backyard as freestanding structures. A screenhouse camping tent which is meant for camping outdoors can also be used in the backyard, however those models which are not portable, in most cases, can not be used for camping functions.
An example of a deluxe screen houses for campers and works well in the back yard is a Magellan Outdoors 14 x 12 deluxe screenhouse brand. A Magellan screened camping / Back Yard tent is not only spacious, but extremely light. Most backpackers and hikers prefer 22 pounds or lighter in weight and a screenhouse that can be set up and dismantled quickly. There are some other well-known manufacturers like Coleman Outdoors, TimberCreek, and along with Magellan Outdoors deluxe screen house.

Switching to Barefoot Running Shoes
There has been a lot of debate over whether barefoot running is indeed beneficial to runners. Recent researches seem to have proven that running barefoot or even in the minimalist shoes is actual harmful and causes more injury to athletes.
However, there are also many evidence showing people are trying to switch to barefoot running but that is usually the cause of injury if it is not done properly.
The most important thing to look out for, whether you are on to barefoot or minimalist or even traditional cushioned shoes, is to be able to break into your pair of running shoes properly and to have the right methods in running.
There are three important steps to look out for while transiting from the traditional cushioned shoes to barefoot or minimalist shoe and here is a guide to help you understand how you can do it with least injury.
First, you will have to watch your body posture alignment and positioning. The focus is to consciously align your body over your mid foot area as that will encourage a forefoot landing as an important way to run with barefoot shoes, or even the minimalist shoes.
With the correct posture alignment, this helps you to focus and draw inner strength from your core muscles. Thus there are many cases where the correct posture improves your endurance running since the correct muscles are in use and not weighing your whole body down.
The next step to watch for is the foot landing balance. If you are able to get the right posture from step one, your body naturally adheres to a better foot landing, which is to land on the forefoot. Besides, the proper use of the core muscles prevents muscle fatigue and this will help improve the overall running performance.
The last step is shortening of cadence, which is the number of times your feet comes into contact with the ground within a minute. If you have successfully shortened your cadence, you would have achieved about 180 steps per minute or even more. If done correctly, you will also notice a slight leaning forward at the ankle when your feel lands.
A shortened cadence also helps conserve energy and this is also another factor in helping runners improve on their endurance running.
If you have been on the traditional cushioned running shoes and attempting to switch to barefoot shoes, or minimalist shoes, there are many other tips to watch for. Transiting slowly to minimalist shoes is very important as you have to get your body aligned and used to the minimal support offered by the shoes.
It is also important to build up your strength slowly and of course, proper stretching at your calves and Achilles tendon is very important as this bare-form running uses more of the calves muscles. Most importantly, be patient with your transition and let your body adjust and allow time to heal should you encounter pain and sore after trying out the minimalist shoes.
Normally, the usual sore and tired muscles are quite common after your workout. However, if you experience pain in the bone, joint or soft-tissue, it is very likely a signal of injury and you may need to seek medical attention.

Maximize Your Trip With These Tips For Travel
Whether traveling for work or traveling for play, there are many steps you can take to ensure that your trip goes smoothly and pleasantly. An inexperienced traveler may not know how to find the cheapest flight, the best hotel rates or those off-the-beaten-track vacation spots that are a must for anyone with children. All the do's and don'ts, ins and outs, and ups and downs of traveling are outlined for you in the following article, so you can have a safe, economical and exciting trip from start to finish.
Do not bother wrapping gifts. A lot of people buy small souvenirs when traveling. If you are planning on bringing something back to a loved one, don't bother wrapping it before you return home. On the off chance that your bag is inspected, it will have to be unwrapped anyway.
If your travel budget is somewhat elastic, consider splurging in ways you normally wouldn't. Pamper yourself a little. An uncharacteristically lavish expenditure can form the memorable core of your vacation. It is simply a fact that some of the finest services, most exciting experiences and most memorable sights cost a good bit of money. On a vacation, indulge yourself by taking advantage of some of them.
Being careful about purchases while traveling will help you through customs. Remember anything you buy on your trip must pass through customs when you return home so exercise caution when you see street vendors abroad or other sellers who may be offering counterfeit or unsafe souvenirs you will have to surrender later.
A great way to get some sleep on an airplane is by bringing an eye mask. Even when you close your eyes, you can still see the different colors and shapes in front of you. With an eye mask, that will allow it to be completely blacked out, allowing much better chance of sleep.
Remember to pack liquids in plastic bags. Packing liquids in your luggage can lead to disaster. No one wants to open their luggage and find it filled with spilled shampoo and mouthwash. To prevent such a calamity entirely, remember to pack all liquids in ziplock bags. Make sure to seal the bags properly.
The more you plan, the cheaper the flight should be for you. Try and plan your trips ahead of time and budget how much money you want to spend on flights and hotel, as well as, how much you want to spend on leisure activities. Planning out your trip in advance, helps you to manage your money properly and ensures that you will have a better time.
When choosing an airline, it's important to take more than just the price of the ticket into consideration. A lot of airlines charge money for checked bags now, and many charge other excessive hidden costs. Before 'shelling out your hard earned money' for what seems like a cheap ticket, do some research.
When you are packing light for an extended trip, bring along a rain coat with a soft lining. You never can predict what the weather will do. Also, the rain coat can double as a windbreaker in cold weather or even a bathrobe while you are in your hotel room.
When staying at a hotel, remove the top quilt or comforter from the bed. Often, housekeeping is not responsible for washing the top comforter, which means it can be harboring dirt, bedbugs, or other remnants of other guests. If there is a spare blanket in the closet, use that one instead.
When traveling with a baby, use the hotel's coffee machine to sterilize your bottles. Wash all the different parts to the bottles using soap and hot water. Plug up the sink and place all the bottle items in it. Allow the coffee machine to fill with water and then turn it on. Wait for the water to heat up and then pour the hot water over the bottles, nipples and rings. Repeat as necessary, completely covering the items with the water. Let them soak for at least five minutes, and your baby will have a sanitary bottle to drink from.
From driving to the next state to flying overseas, traveling is fraught with potential perils. Preparing yourself for the unexpected is one of the key elements of having a successful trip. The tips and advice presented above can teach you all the tricks of a well-seasoned traveler, whether you're going on your first family vacation or your 100th business trip.

The Short Term And Long Term Effects Of Concussion
Introduction
A concussion refers to a brain injury that occurs from a blow to the head or a violent shaking of the body, which causes the brain to move inside the cranium. The injury may be mild if the shaking or head hitting was mild, but can be critical if the brain violently moves inside the cranium; making an intense contact with the skull. MTBI (mild traumatic brain injury), MHI (mild head injury), MHT (minor head trauma) and MBI (mild brain trauma) comprise some of the names used interchangeably with concussion. Causes of mild head injuries include hard falls, sudden/ violent body shaking that snaps the head, motor accidents, close by explosions and blows to the head during contact sports such as rugby, boxing and football. Brain injuries can be prevented by wearing protective headgear, such as helmets and cushioned caps while playing or cycling, as well as removing obstacles that may cause slip and fall accidents.
Symptoms
Anyone, regardless of age and sex, can get a minor head trauma. Whereas some symptoms may indicate the presence of a concussion, these symptoms may delay. However, whether symptoms exist or not, a person/ child who gets a head injury must seek medical attention for further diagnosis, thus on time treatment. Continued rough movements of the head, after a fall or head injury, should be avoided after head trauma and during treatment to allow the brain enough time to heal. More efforts should be made to avoid recurring brain trauma.
Signs and symptoms that may indicate the occurrence of a MHI include headaches, dizziness, confusion, a feeling of pressure inside the head, loss of memory/ temporary amnesia, altered vision (blurred or double), tinnitus, sudden mood changes and abnormal sleeping patterns among others. Scratches, wounds or cracks on the head of the patient, loss of consciousness immediately after the head blow and fainting when no external factors warrant it may also indicate the presence of a mild traumatic head injury. The Mayo Clinic provides information on symptoms of a minor brain trauma.
Short term effects
Injury on the brain causes damage of brain tissues and nerves. The damage might cause temporary amnesia and severe headaches. With time, the headaches and memory loss may go away or persist. Other short term effects, lasting a few days to weeks/ months, may include light headedness, amnesia surrounding the head injury event, mood swings, fainting, altered thinking, behavior changes and abnormal sleeping patterns. The above symptoms may only occur after light blows to the head or during the initial stages of a head trauma.
Long term effects
Severe concussion effects may occur with repeated head injuries and or inadequate/ untimely treatment of an MHI. These long term effects include amnesia, dementia, behavioral changes, Alzheimer disease and Parkinson's disease among others. Schizophrenic tendencies (inability to differentiate between reality and illusions), delirium and dementia (temporal treatable madness) can result from concussions. These may lead to Alzheimer's disease (untreatable madness that deteriorates as a person's age advances) or worsen Parkinson's disease. The loss of the ability to coordinate body movements and thoughts characterize primary Parkinsonism, which occurs, mostly, on the onset of old age (from 50 years of age). MHI can worsen mental conditions, emotional wellness and behavioral tendencies.
Treatment
Luckily, concussions can be treated adequately, especially when diagnosed early. Unfortunately, most people, especially athletes and other sports' people do not take head injuries seriously, hence do not seek treatment on time. Treatment of MTBI can greatly reduce short term effects and the chances of long term effects occurring. Concussion treatment involves sufficient physical and emotional rest; to minimize head movements and give the brain sufficient time to heal. Patients need to exercise minimal physical movements as well as reduce activities that involve significant brain activity; such as work, school assignments and video games. Drugs such as acetaminophen may be used to manage MTBI symptoms, but aspirin and ibuprofen can increase brain hemorrhage and should, thus, be avoided.
Summary
Concussion, also referred to as MTBI (mild traumatic brain injury) among other names, refer to a brain injury caused by a severe head blow or fall. Concussion symptoms can be more subtle and long-lasting than simply losing consciousness or experiencing head pain. Even a mild concussion can cause a surprising array of symptoms that may linger longer than expected. Proper treatment and precautions are necessary to prevent re-injury. The CDC gives tips on simple tips of recognizing and reacting to a concussion which parents, guardians, coaches and sports people should learn.

Tips For Increasing Activities For Fitness Safely
If you want to increase your level of fitness, you need to do so gradually. If you change things too quickly, your body will go into shock and you could risk injury or a number of other items. To safely increase your activity level and your overall fitness, follow these guidelines.
First, it is a good idea to decide what your fitness goals are before you begin. If you want to lose weight, decide how much so you can map out a weight loss plan. If you simply want to get into better shape, figure out if there are certain areas of your body that you want to tone. Once you have some goals in mind, you should be able to form a plan more easily.
Second, you might want to check with your doctor before you start any sort of fitness plan or diet. You will want to make sure that you are healthy enough to start increasing your activity levels in the way in which you see fit. Your doctor can help you decide how often you should work out and for how long. He or she might even be able to help you decide on a type of workout to begin your increased activity.
Third, having a workout partner or an accountability partner is a good idea as well. This person can motivate you to keep going towards your goals, but he or she can also help you recognize when you might need to back off.
Once you have those items lined up, it is time to choose a workout program. If your level of activity is very low, you should start with something simple. Do not try to run a marathon is you do not even walk on a regular basis. Try walking around the block for a few days and increase your pace as well as distance over time. Before you know it, you will be running an entire mile and you will not even notice the exertion.
Building your program little by little is they key to raising your activity level safely. In order to avoid getting frustrated with the program, you need to track and review your progress. Monitor your weight, body fat, heart rate and other items to show yourself how much you are progressing. Also keep track of the type of workout you are doing, the distance you are going and so on.
Make sure that you never overdo any workout that you choose. If you start too slow and find the workouts too easy, you can always increase them later. Adding intensity and length over time is the best way to safely increase your fitness levels. If you hit things too hard, too fast, you could find yourself injured or depleted.
The best way to start slow is to set real, attainable short term goals. Be realistic about your goals and make them easy to reach at first. Since you will be able to reach those goals easily, you will not have to strain yourself to get there. Once you know how much you can put out there into the workout world, you can increase the levels of your workouts as well as your overall goals.
In order to start a workout program that you will stick with in the long run, you will need to find something that you enjoy. Think back to your childhood and see if there are any physical activities that you enjoyed. You may find that you still like them today. If you liked riding bikes with your friends, for example, try a spin class. If you ran track in high school, jogging might be for you. As long as you start slow and work your way up the exercise ladder and find something you will truly enjoy, you can increase your activity level safely.
Once you begin a workout program, you need to remember that results take time. You should operate on a schedule and make your workouts a priority. Fitness will happen, but you will have to watch for huge steps to occur over months rather than weeks. If you want to remain safe about your fitness, think long term. You might not drop a size in a week, but you will keep that size at bay long term once it is gone.
If you are able to keep safety in mind at all times and increase your activity level in a gradual manner, you will achieve the level of fitness you have always wanted without injury interruptions.

Electronic - Enjoying Competition Sport Fishing
What is sport fishing? You could be competing for a trophy or you may be looking to catch the largest fish from all of your friends. Competitions are by far the most popular reason for sport fishing though. You can go both still fishing or fly fishing. You’ll have a specific time frame and depending on the weight and the species that you catch, you may just bring home the big one. The type of line that you use is also important here. The heavier the line, the fewer points you’ll get.
There are different types of sport fishing. Bass fishing, shore fishing, fly fishing, big game fishing, troll fishing and ice fishing are some of them. The competitions are based on the group of anglers, the conditions and the type of fish they are after. There is a wide range of options out there. You’ll be able to catch fish like marlin, walleye, salmon, shark, tuna and a wide range of others.
Equipment You’ll Need
The equipment you need depends on what type of fish you are after as well as what type of fishing you are doing. You’ll need to have the basics of rod, reel and tackle. Some will allow you to bring along your fish finder while others will not. Make sure you take a moment to see what the rules say.
For bait, you’ll need to take with you’re the bait that works for the fish you are after of course. You can go from simple things such as lures and spinners to wet and dry flies, shrimp or live fish and other live bait.
Understanding Fishing Line
The type of line used in these tournaments is often lighter than the force that the fish applies to it. Why? It's more of a challenge of course! You should purchase a high tech drag mechanism on your reel to compensate for this. This will keep the right tension in the line when the fish takes off. Only when the fish gets tired of running will you have the ability to land him. It can be quite challenging but that is what makes it so fun, right!
How To Fight The Big Guy
There are several methods that are used to fight hooked fish. One is the use of a game chair. The fisherman sits there and places the butt of his rod in a gimbaled mount. You’ll need quite a long rod for this and it needs to be bent correctly to fit properly. This is not an easy task and you’ll need experience to get it right. Or, you can go with the stand up method. You’ll use a harness this time around. You’ll need to eat your Wheaties for this one though.
Ready to give it a try? You may find yourself shocked by the price of it all. It can cost you up to $25,000 if you purchase everything. You can take advantage of charter services though which will cut down on the supplies (especially your boat!) and you’ll get everything that you need. Take the time to learn with a professional to help you to make the most out of every tournament you enter. Winning the prize can help to lower these costs and make it all well worth it!

Wakeboarding - Wakeboarding Information - A Glimpse To A New Dimension In Sports
One important thing for a man is to make full use of his life, to be able to enjoy it to the fullest. Another is to keep his life light, to give himself a space for self-expression. And what will make these things possible is sports. Through sports, one can share your passions and unconscious desires reflected from your every action.
One relatively new board sport – wakeboarding - originated from Orlando, Florida. This newest craze will surely attract sports fans and players alike. For fearless and fun-loving individuals, it is a greatway to experience life in another perspective.
Feel the adrenaline rush as you learn and master the basic, intermediate, and more advanced tricks. With wakeboarding, acrobatic exhibition will never feel the same way again as you perform these crazy tricks.
Wakeboarding was created from a combination of water-skiing, snow boarding and surfing techniques. As in water skiing, which most people are at least familiar with, the rider is towed behind a boat, or a cable skiing lift at a speed of about 18-24 mph. The main difference is that instead of skis, the boarder uses a single board (like a snowboard) with bindings. The boards are shorter in length that a snowboard (typically 130 - 147cm) and wider (up to 45cm) as well as being convex (tips 15 - 25cm) rather than concave as a snowboard.
The boat used in wakeboarding is similar to a water ski boat except that the rope is normally mounted on a tower about 2 meters above the water line and the boat is also weighted and trimmed to give a high wake. The wake can be used to perform various jumps. Steering the board by a combination of direction and cutting the edges into the water, the rider can move outside of the wake, and then steer rapidly in, hitting the wake and launching themselves into the air (with various degrees of success).
Tricks are performed on the surface of the water as well as in the air. Generally, launching oneself in the air and going inverted is some of the most spectacular tricks that can be performed, known collectively as inverts.
To someone not familiar with the sport, hearing someone speak about wakebordig might sound like another language. To most, as with many freestyle sports such as snow boarding and surfing, there is almost a separate language of terms to describe various tricks, like Tantrum, Elephant, Whirlybird, etc., depending on how good (sick) a rider is. In addition to the names of each move, there are plenty of other wakeboarding terms used that you should know about.
Getting hooked on this kind of sport is really as great an experience that a sport-minded individual would ever have. The sport is growing in popularity, as it is fairly easy to pick up, but offers a wide opportunity for self-expression.
Give yourself a little extra blood rush - this sport will give you satisfaction that you cannot otherwise experience from other sports. So give it a try or you’ll be missing the great opportunity it offers.

Fancy Dress Costumes - Why Dress Up On Halloween?
When people think of Halloween they think fancy dress costumes, trick or treating, pumpkins and ghost stories. Just like any other holiday that we celebrate the true meaning has been forgotten and most people don't even know how these traditions started.
Halloween is one of the most fun customs celebrated around the world. For children it's all about dressing up and getting as many sweets as possible and for adults it's all about dressing up and having a drink or two. Note the common occurrence is dressing up - a practice that is hundreds of years old and is still performed to this day. What is it about fancy dress costumes that gets everyone so excited and why do we actually dress up on Halloween?
The word Halloween derives from the term "All Hallows Eve" which occurred the night before All Hallows Day and was a Roman Catholic holiday that celebrated the saints. However, even before people started celebrating All Hallows Day, the Celtic Irish celebrated the 31st October as the New Year. It was believed that on the eve of this day the spirits of the recently deceased would re - enter the bodies of the living for a chance of an afterlife.
Naturally scared and fearing for their souls, the Celts would turn off all the lights in their houses, dress up in scary costumes and cause mayhem in the town in an attempt to scare the spirits away. This theory was so popular that the Roman Catholics later adopted these practices as their own making them even more popular and widespread. However, over the years spirit possession became less popular and people started dressing up as witches, goblins and demons in a more ceremonial manner.
It is a common misconception that Halloween is an American holiday. However, traditions such as fancy dress costumes and ghosts weren't introduced in America until the famous potato famine which hit Ireland in the 1840s. Desperately seeking refuge many Irish residents fled to America taking their Halloween celebrations with them.
Even though people now celebrate Halloween very differently to how they did many centuries ago, people all over the world still dress up in fancy dress costumes at Halloween today. Many believe that dressing up is a tribute to the devil when in fact the exact opposite is the case as it was originally started as an attempt to save peoples' souls from demons and to celebrate the saints.

39. Nap on a porch swing.
40. Take the kids to the library or browse an online bookstore. Select a "beach book": an absorbing story you can enjoy without a whole lot of thought. It just matter that it is there whenever you need to get away for a moment or two.
41. Sit in the middle of your yard and practice some deep breathing exercises. Consciously relax each part of your body, and let the tension melt away with each breath.
42. Become aware of the present moment. Try not to think about what is going to happen Monday, or this afternoon, or even five minutes from now. Instead, turn your attention to the details of your life: the way the sun feels on your face, the way your scalp feels when your hair blows in the wind, the way your children talk, the joy of spending time with your family.
43. Appreciate nature. Whether you focus on the stars above, a distant mountain range, or the cottonwood tree in your backyard, try to notice the details.

Mma - What You Should Know About The Ufc
The UFC, or Ultimate Fighting Championship, is currently recognized as the largest MMA promotion worldwide, is headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada. The UFC began as a tournament to find the best fighters in the world, and was based on the Brazilian vale tudo fighting style. Originally, it was known as a no holds barred fighting contest, which eventually led to accusations of human brutality. After criticism reduced the UFCs visibility was diminished by these accusations, the organization reformed itself and adapted strict, athletic commission sanctioned rules, remarketing itself as a legitimate sporting event.
This idea of a tournament geared towards finding the best world fighter was that of Art Davie, a Southern California based advertising executive who developed this concept while researching marital arts for a client. Davie went on to become the student of Rorion Gracie, a teacher of mixed martial arts. In 1992, Gracie, Davie, and John Milnus, a film director and screen writer, in addition to being a fellow Gracie student, developed a business plan to generate the initial capital required to start WOW Promotions in order to develop their tournament into a television franchise.
The fledgling company partnered with Semaphore Entertainment Group in 1993, and the name Ultimate Fighting Championship was born. The first event was produced at McNichos Sports Arena in Denver, Colorado on November 12,1993 and featured kick boxer Patrick Smith and Kevin Roier, and as well as savate fighter Gerard Gordeau, and others. The appeal for this how, including its core proposition can a wrestler beat a boxer? was a contrast from most martial arts events at the time, where competitors typically had skill and expertise in just one discipline and little to no experience in other disciplines.
In 2001, The UFC was purchased for $2 million and came under the control of its parent company Zuffia, which resulted in a return to pay per view for the UFC after a plunge into relative obscurity after Senator John McCain criticized it as human cockfighting. The UFCs secured spot on The Best Damn Sports Show Period only added to its renown and reputation. After being featured in the reality television series, American Casino, the UFC was featured in its own reality series, The Ultimate Fighter, showcasing up and coming MMA fighters. The success of this show led to a second show UFC Unleashed, which featured select fights from UFC events, as well as a live broadcast entitled UFC Fight Night. After the first season of the Ultimate fighter, the first UFC event drew a pay per view audience of 280,000, and the next season of The Ultimate Fighter drew in a record 410,000 pay per view buys, leading to the present, with the UFC holding its own in the world of mainstream sporting events.

Freshen up your golf talk
Justin Cooper/Icon SMI
Kevin Na would like you to slow down and take the time to put some new lines into your golf talk game.
Your game is awful. You shouldn't even be allowed on the golf course.
Not your golf game. Your golf talk game. It's lamer than your MySpace account.
Don't you have anything new? You got new grips, new shoes, new clubs, but the same old lines. And enough with the "Caddyshack" references, Carl Spackler. That movie came out in 1980.
"We have a face we use for guys like that," a PGA Tour star I know likes to say. "We call it our Wednesday face. Where you have to fake laugh at old lines you've heard a thousand times at pro-ams, that's when you pull out the Wednesday face."
Don't be that guy. Time for some new gloss. Most of these are mine, some are from my derelict friends and some I just flat out stole. Memorize and destroy.
Situation: A guy in your group is slower than osteoporosis.
Old: Today, please?
New: Hurry up, dude. Kevin Na wants to play through.
Situation: Your buddy hits a shot deep into the woods.
Old: Even if that thing were covered in bacon, Lassie couldn't find it.
New: Even if that thing were covered in butter and sugar, Paula Deen couldn't find it.
Situation: Your opponent's putt is just a little too long to give.
Old: Still some chicken left on that bone.
New: Still need to see the birth certificate, Barack.
Situation: Your opponent has a three-foot putt to win the match.
Old: Miss it, Noonan!
New: Get it close.
Situation: Your buddy is wearing an awful hat.
Old: D'you get a free bowl of soup with that hat?
New: How long did the doctor say you had to wear that?
Situation: You suspect your opponent of cheating.
Old: The pencil is the best wood in your bag.
New: Nice round, Mr. Trump.
Situation: Your opponent skulls one into the ladies' tee markers.
Old: You should sell your clubs.
New: That looked really good right up until you hit it.
Situation: Your buddy takes a huge divot.
Old: Geez, why don't you just get a shovel?
New: Thanks. We were looking for somewhere to bury Secretariat.
Situation: You've looked for five minutes but there's no sign of your opponent's ball.
Old: Tough break.
New: Don't worry about it. Lance Armstrong lost a ball and did great.
Situation: Your buddy leaves an eight-foot birdie putt two feet short.
Old: Never up, never in.
New: Nice lag, Sammy Sosa.
Situation: Your buddy crushes his drive 320.
Old: That dog will hunt!
New: I'm not attracted to men normally, but ...
Situation: Your buddy hits a drive that starts down the middle but then hooks into the trees.
Old: You can talk to a slice but a hook won't listen!
New: That's a Kathleen Turner. It was pretty for a while.
Situation: Guy hits a putt way too hard but it slams the cup and pops in.
Old: Can somebody put the hole back where it was?
New: Ding! Fries are done!
Situation: Guy has a terrible swing.
Old: Don't take that swing out of town. You'll never get parts for it.
New: Hey, Bubba Watson called. He wants his swing back.
Situation: You make a long putt.
Old: That thing went in the hole like a homesick gopher!
New: That's why I buy balls that are allergic to daylight.
Situation: You hit your drive 50 yards past your opponent.
Old: Did you hear they're going to build a Super Wal-Mart around here? Between my ball and yours.
New: Hey, you should take the head cover off your driver before you use it.
Situation: You really need this putt to win the match.
Old: (whispered fervently): Oh, Billy, Billy, Billy, Billy.
New: (whispered fervently): Oh, Scotty, Scotty, Scotty, Scotty.
Situation: You hit a shot that might not get over the lake.
Old: Skip!
New: Grow Jesus sandals!
Situation: Your opponent is talking to your ball while it's in the air.
Old: Keep your mouth off my ball.
New: Take the day off, OK, Jim Nantz?
Situation: Your opponent three-putts from six feet.
Old: That's gotta hurt!
New: Hey, did you know they now have Beta Blockers in the chewable?
Situation: Your friend hits it on the green, but nowhere near the hole.
Old: At least you're on the dance floor.
New: You're on the dance floor, but you can't hear the music.

Situation: Your opponent leaves a two-foot putt two inches short.
Old: Does the husband play?
New: Nice finish, LeBron.
Situation: You whiff above the ball.
Old: That never happened.
New: My home course is higher than this.
Situation: Your line to the green is blocked by trees.
Old: Wish I had a saw in the bag.
New: Where's an Alabama fan when you need one?
Situation: You hit your third straight terrible shot.
Old: D'oh!
New: You know what? I'd quit golf if I weren't married.
Situation: Guy takes three to get out of the bunker.
Old: Nice job, Saddam.
New: That's OK. They'll fill that bunker up with sand again tomorrow.
Situation: With all the bets on the line, your opponent hits his drive on 18 out of bounds.
Old: That thing got out of here quick.
New: That's an Elin. Definitely gonna cost you.
I hope you found these new phrases helpful. And if you happen to be at a PGA Tour event standing at a par-5 tee box next to that man who constantly hollers, "In the hole!" as soon as Tiger Woods hits his drive, will you please take out a Bic pen and stab him in the knee for me?
When he looks at you with dismay, give him the Wednesday face.

Bad lies at U.S. Open qualifying
Hulton Archive/Getty ImagesThe process for qualifying to play in the U.S. Open attracts all kinds of golfers.
For every hug-happy U.S. Open qualifying love story -- like Oregon's Casey Martin making it this year on one leg -- there are 100 more left-your-fly-open stories. Guys who were supposed to shoot 69 and shot 99 instead.
When that happens, the USGA wants to know why. They dispatch a letter asking why you said you were a 1.4 handicap or better and then shot yourself a radio station -- a ZOO-103 or a KOZY-105.
You better have a good excuse, or you'll be banned from any USGA event for the next three years. Let the stammering begin ...
One guy wrote, "The reason I played poorly was the night before my wife took my clubs, so I had to go to the neighbor and borrow some. That (expletive) really knew how to hurt me."
Another man explained, "The color of the greens bothered me. I just never played on that color of green before."
One golfer said that he'd recently uncovered "incriminating" evidence that Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and Stephen King had plotted to assassinate John Lennon and that FBI agents were "hiding behind every bush and tree" as he played.
The USGA called the Secret Service on that one.
"One fella came down to our offices, mad as a hive of bees," says Larry Adamson, who was the director of USGA championship administration for 25 years. "He was yelling, 'Get your clubs, Mr. Adamson! Any local course you wanna go to! Right now! I'll show YOU I can play this game!"
When security got him settled down and off the property, he still had to answer the letter.
If you try to qualify for a U.S. Open (this year it's at Olympic Club in San Francisco, June 14-17), as over 9,000 golfers did this year, try not to play like a drunken yeti. You'll get a letter requiring proof your handicap isn't phonier than a ski slope in Dubai.
"Just show us some scores from some reputable tournament," says Betsy Swain, who has Adamson's job now. "We're not even going to check them."
One guy, who'd shot in the high 80s both rounds, answered that with: "But I only hone my game for the U.S. Open every year."
To which Adamson replied, "Hone it somewhere else."
"We have to," says USGA director Mike Davis. "It's not fair to the guy who's trying to shoot 68-68 to be paired with somebody shooting 90-90 and looking for balls all day. There's no way for him to get any kind of rhythm."
But golfers are prideful animals, if not always honest ones. They'll pull two hamstrings trying to explain why they're better than their score. You know, the old: "I can play better, I just never have."
One guy wrote to say that while looking for his ball in a pond, his glasses fell off his face and he couldn't see for the rest of the day.
Another said the night before qualifying, his girlfriend had a baby and "I found out it wasn't mine. Kinda hard to get that off your mind."
And one golfer, who showed up to a Florida qualifier with his clubs in a plastic bag, admitted he just wanted to play with "famous golfers."
Reverse sandbagging has become an epidemic at Open qualifying because golfers realize that for just the $150 entry fee, they can play a practice round and a tournament round at a sweet course they could never get on otherwise.
For instance, for local qualifying this year, you could've teed it up at Trump National in Westchester, N.Y., or Newport Beach Country Club in California. It's a good deal if you can live with the lying.
Some golfers have legit excuses. One guy no-showed because he was taken off to prison. Others were called into active duty. Some were doctors dealing with emergencies mid-round. All of those are accepted. Many are not.
"A lot of guys say they played bad because their wife was about to have a baby," Swain says. "And we're thinking, 'You haven't known the due date for nine months?'"
Adamson tried to use empathy with the particularly stubborn cases. "I'd ask them, 'Think about this: How would you like to play with you?' I remember one guy saying, 'Hell, I'd have quit.'"
And then there was this hand-written letter, which Adamson saved. It was from a 20-year-old in Ohio:
Dear Mr. Adamson,
This was the first USGA championship I'd ever entered.
But my Uncle Art died and my mom and dad said I had to go to the funeral.
I heard you can't get your money back, so I sent a friend of mine. His name was Curtis and he played under my name.
After he got home that night, he told me he shot 75-79. You tell me he shot 99-102. Now, somebody's lying and Curtis says it's not him.
I hope this is good enough.
Sincerely,
Name Withheld
(P.S.: I sure am mad at Curtis.)

Comparing Roger and Tiger
Tiger Woods and Roger Federer have dominated their sports in the past decade. But which is greater?
In my mission to make everybody in every bar hate one another, I ask you, "Who's greater: Roger Federer or Tiger Woods?"
And don't say, "Apples and oranges." These two are oranges and oranges.
Described to Ray Charles, they'd sound like twins. They're the same height and weight. Federer has 75 tour wins. Woods has 74. Woods is six years older, but he's been a pro only two years longer.
Federer was conscripted into the Swiss army but never served. Woods craved to be a Navy SEAL, but never tried. Each is as uncrackable as an Israeli spy.
Federer married a Swiss tennis player. Woods married a Swedish nanny. Each has two kids. Each has the slickest bag of tricks his sport has ever seen. Federer has the feet of a matador. Woods has the hands of a sculptor.
Both were left for dead only last year, yet both have fought back to be the No. 1 player in the world. (Yes, yes, I know: The World Golf Ranking has Woods fourth, but only because the formula was devised by Jethro of "The Beverly Hillbillies.")
Federer, after his seventh Wimbledon win Sunday, is the greatest player in his sport's history. Woods, with the British Open coming up next week, is second-best in his, but time is on his side.
So how do you decide?
SportsNation: Federer vs. Woods?
SportsNation More impressive career? More fun to watch? Rather hang out with? Will we see a second coming?

Majors: Federer 17, Woods 14.
All-time rank in majors: Federer No. 1, Woods No. 2.
Win percentage in majors: Federer 32, Woods 24.
Advantage -- Federer.
Then again ...
All-time rank in tour wins: Federer No. 4, Woods No. 2.
Years left to win more majors: Federer -- two or three. Woods -- 10?
Degree of difficulty in majors: Federer must go 7-0 over two weeks to win a major. He can't have a bad day. Woods can be 43rd after Thursday and first on Sunday and he's fine.
On the other hand, Woods must go 143-0. He must beat everybody in the field, even people he'll never meet. He must be better than the Trevor Immelmans and the Bob Mays, guys who suddenly are putting into holes the size of kiddie pools. Woods can't hit these guys' nasty forehand drops or blistering backhand winners the way Federer can. There's nothing he can do to stop them, short of poisoning their room-service trays. This is why 15 men have won the past 15 golf majors and four men have won the past 15 tennis majors.
Advantage -- Woods.
Weeks as No. 1: Federer has had 286 now, tying Pete Sampras. But what he has done isn't nuts in tennis. Ivan Lendl and Jimmy Connors have nearly that many. Woods spent 623 weeks at No. 1, and that's certifiable. Second place is nearly half of that -- Greg Norman's 331. So, Woods has been far greater over his rivals than Federer has.
Then again: Woods' rivals have been water soup compared with Federer's. Phil Mickelson -- four majors. Ernie Els -- three. Padraig Harrington -- three. Rory McIlroy? One. Federer's competition? Rafael Nadal -- 11. Andre Agassi -- eight. Novak Djokovic -- five.
Advantage -- Federer.
Comebacks: What Federer did by winning this Wimbledon was the equivalent of holding the flipped car up with one hand and saving the baby with the other. He'd gone 29 months without a major. They were already penciling him in on the hit-and-giggle tours. When can you play McEnroe? He was coming up on his 31st birthday. In tennis, that's the start of the Early Bird Dinner years. No man other than Agassi has won a major past his 32nd birthday in 40 years.
To make it all the way back in the greatest era in tennis history? That's breathtaking. Woods hasn't done that yet, and he lives in the So What? era of golf history. He has convinced a bunch of us he's back, but not everybody. He needs a major title to do that, and he hasn't won one in four years. Remember when Woods and Federer would text each other about who was ahead in majors? They don't anymore.
Advantage -- Federer.
Life: The question was "Who's greater?" Greatness is more than what happens on stage. Both men are great athletes, but greatness is as greatness does. Greatness is also in the way you carry it, the way you treat fans and colleagues and waiters. I've never met anybody in tennis more polite and giving and generous than Federer. He treats the woman who cleans the hotel the same as the guy who owns it. I remember once when Federer and I were escorted into a room for my 15 minutes with him. He'd just finished his match, and he was drained. There was a leather recliner and a stool. He took the stool. And nothing I could say would talk him off it.
At the same time, I've never met anybody in golf less interested in others than Woods. If Federer acts like a reluctant god, Woods acts like a hand-picked one. There's a reason that, when Woods is done with people, they tend to rat him out. The Coach. The Caddie. The Girlfriends. You get treated like a beer can somebody's kicking along the road, you want to kick back. Is it just a coincidence that the Federers are still seen socializing with Woods' ex but not with Woods himself?
Tiger Woods still has 9½ years to rise to the place Federer is now. I hope he does.
Maybe his golf will get there, too.

What's love got to do with it?
Caroline Wozniacki and Rory McIlroy are attempting a difficult feat: maintaining a high-profile relationship while trying to win at the highest levels of professional sports.
Their love was like you read about. You rarely saw them apart. It was a romance that was pure and torrid, and it seemed as though nothing would ever tear them apart.
Which is why it's so sad now that Rory McIlroy and golf seem to have broken up.
McIlroy, once the world No. 1, seems to have a new love -- fetching Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki -- and now golf isn't speaking to him. He has missed four of his past six cuts and hasn't sniffed a top 20 in a major since he won the 2011 U.S. Open.
As he heads to this week's Open Championship in Lytham St. Annes, England, his game seems to be saying, "Either she goes or I do."
This never happened to you?
"I remember when I was 23 and had an attractive girlfriend," golfer Luke Donald said the other day. "I would take my eye off the ball sometimes, as well. You can't blame him."
Come to think of it, love has left Wozniacki with a lot of free time, too. She was No. 1 in the world when she started dating the mop-topped Northern Irishman and has since dropped to eighth, getting booted in the third round of the French Open in early June and the first round at Wimbledon less than four weeks later.
Honey, good news! I'm out, too! Meet you in the Bahamas!

"Obviously I'm aware of what's in the media," McIlroy said recently. "It's just a matter of not letting it get to you. I've always said that if I'm happy and content off the course, that's when I play my best golf."
Something seems to be getting to him. It has gotten to better, and older, athletes than him.
Los Angeles Dodgers star outfielder Matt Kemp never played worse than in the season he was dating rapturous singer Rihanna. Year before Rihanna: .297. During Rihanna: .249, and he was called out by his coaches for lack of hustle. (Who can hustle when your heart is singing?) Year after Rihanna: .324 and should've been MVP. Maybe she can date and dump Albert Pujols next?
Tennis great Andre Agassi was a monster until he fell in love with actress Brooke Shields, star of the TV sitcom "Suddenly Susan," in 1997. Before Shields: three majors and a gold medal. During Shields: He was suddenly losin', dropping to 141 in the world and winning zero majors. The year after divorcing Shields: two major wins and back to No. 1.
Maybe the greatest female golfer of our generation, Annika Sorenstam, left golf completely for love. She quit the game in 2008 to marry Mike McGee. She had a baby by 2009. She has never come back to the game.
Lorena Ochoa retired in 2010 at age 29, after 27 LPGA wins, two major titles and a three-year run as Wonder Woman. She got married in 2009 and had a baby this past December. No signs yet that she'll return to the game.
What can you do? The heart wants what it wants.
For instance, in May, Wozniacki was in Paris, playing the French. McIlroy was in Wentworth, England, playing the European PGA Championship. He was there, but his heart was at Roland Garros. Pretty soon, it was Wentworth 40-love. He missed the cut. "Half my body was in Wentworth and half was in Paris," he admitted.
McIlroy missed two straight cuts after that and hasn't broken an egg since. Hey, it's not easy to read greens with stars in your eyes.
"Wozzilroy" as the British tabs call the couple, met at a heavyweight championship fight on May 18, 2011. They had so much in common. They were young and fresh-faced and made millions slapping balls around. She liked his fuzz. He liked her dimples. The chemistry was so right, McIlroy broke up with his girlfriend of six years, Holly Sweeney, to be with her.
Since then, they've flown all over to watch each other play and practice. McIlroy even took her place for a point at Madison Square Garden in an exhibition match against Maria Sharapova, which he won!
This love affair is as juicy to Europe as Jimmy Connors and Chris Evert were to America. Remember? The two tennis sex symbols got engaged and promptly both won Wimbledon in 1974. Sadly, it was not a long rally. By 1975, they were splitsville. Connors went on to marry a Playboy bunny, but Evert stuck with jocks: tennis' John Lloyd, skiing's Andy Mill, golf's Greg Norman.
So are Wozz and Ilroy a bad match? Of course not. The truth is, Wozniacki has inspired McIlroy to some of the best golf of his life, to say nothing of the best times. In one stretch, he had 11 top-5 finishes in 12 tournaments. In golf, "love" doesn't mean nothing.
And Wozniacki's troubles have less to do with mad love than bad timing. She rose to No. 1 while Serena and Venus Williams were out of the game with injuries and Victoria Azarenka hadn't yet arrived in full. Once they showed up again, she dropped like Enron stock.
If McIlroy goes nowhere in this Open, it won't be because of Wozniacki. She's not even with him this week. She's at home preparing for her attempt to win a gold medal in the London Olympics.
So raise a glass to Wozzilroy. Long may they canoodle. After all, what does it matter where you are in the rankings as long as you're with The One?

looking at the possibility of winning his PGA Tour card
Now, sitting at a table waiting for parents Russ and Joan to call, Caron was looking at the possibility of winning his PGA Tour card.
"You think it's good enough?" Caron said of his 8-under score. "Right now it's looking like the PGA Tour, but you never know, because. ..."
A few hundred yards from the magic in Caron's eyes was the loss in Phillipa Laubscher's tears. She broke down on the 18th green. It was understandable.
Just an hour earlier, her fiance, Tjaart Van Der Walt, appeared to be on his way to earning his PGA Tour card. Then disaster. His second shot on 14 hit the cart path and pinballed out of bounds. A bogey on 16, another on 18, and Van Der Walt's dream was shot.
Tears streaked Laubscher's face.
"She carried me the whole week," Van Der Walt said. "It was difficult for both of us to keep [emotions] in."
There was magic and loss Monday all over these fairways and greens. There always is on the last day of the PGA's Qualifying Tournament.
It is on this day, said PGA veteran Bob Friend, who qualified for next year's Tour, "that one shot can change your whole year."
"God, I hope I never have to come back here again," qualifier Bob Burns said.
But they come. Like Jaxon Brigman from Abilene, Texas. Trying to qualify for the sixth time, Brigman shot a final-round 65 to seemingly make the cut. But Brigman signed an incorrect scorecard, which credited him with a 66. He missed the cut by a shot, a shot he never took.
"I went from being the happiest man to just being killed," he said.
And Jason Caron waited.
He was charging the cell phone, watching the results leak across the television screen on the Golf Channel as he sat on the bubble.
"I'm not really nervous," said Caron, 26, a three-time winner this year on the Hooters Tour. "You know, I didn't shoot a round over par in Q-School. Now all I can do is sit ... and wait for my parents. It's funny, they just got the Golf Channel where they live about two weeks ago. They're just watching and ...

I want to end this," Schreiber said.
Schreiber has been under fire since it was reported last Tuesday that he had sent an e-mail to the 167 lawyers and support staff asking for the money. The donations would allow his daughter's boyfriend to play in the National Golf Association Hooters Pro Golf Tour.
The e-mail asked for a $100 minimum contribution to a Feb. 24 fund-raiser at Schreiber's Plantation house for would-be golf pro Craig Pawling. The golfer has been featured on the Golf Channel and is dating Jennifer Schreiber, the public defender's daughter. As the controversy about the e-mail erupted, the public defender insisted he had not been trying to coerce anyone in his office into giving money.
But lawyers complained about being solicited and Schreiber's ethics were questioned. Nova Southeastern law professor Robert Jarvis called for a Florida Bar investigation of the public defender. Schreiber turned to attorney David Bogenschutz to figure a way out of the jam.
He began to backpedal. He first said the fund-raiser would be open to anybody in the office, regardless of whether they had donated money.
"I will have plenty of food and booze and it will be a good time for all," Schreiber wrote in another e-mail to his staff on Wednesday.
On Friday, Schreiber retreated further, saying he would no longer accept money from his employees. On Saturday, he said he would give back the $2,000 he already collected.
"I'm returning all the checks. I'm not accepting any more checks from employees," Schreiber said. "Anyone can come to the party at my house."
Schreiber originally was seeking to raise $50,000 for Pawling, 29, who started dating Jennifer Schreiber last year after they met on the Internet. In addition to trying to raise money for Pawling, the public defender gave him a part-time job serving subpoenas.
All these attempts to help Pawling had "created too much trouble," Schreiber conceded Saturday.
To my husband, that meant a lot," said his wife
In fact, the news of the baby's arrival came at an appropriate time for Randy Goldberg, who had recently lost his sister, Lynda Goldberg, and his mother, Jacqueline Goldberg, in June and August 1998, respectively.
"To my husband, that meant a lot," said his wife. "His mother always wanted to see him happy. He said his mom had something to do with it."
Jacob Louis Goldberg, who was named after his aunt, his paternal grandmother, and his late maternal grandfather, Louis Nicole, was born at Plantation General Hospital on May 14.
"We thought it was going to be a girl at the beginning, so we were going to name her Jackie," Vivian Goldberg began, "but we had to change quickly when we found out it was a boy. I got my father's name, and I got the initial for Randy's sister and the initial for his mom."
The baby is the grandson of Lourdes Nicole and Jorge Zayas of Plantation, and Erwin Goldberg of Sunrise.
"I love being a mom, but it's exhausting," Vivian Goldberg said. "It's the greatest experience that I've ever had and the greatest accomplishment that I've ever done. It was also the most painful experience that I've gone through, but the most worthwhile."
The baby's father, who also has an 18-year-old daughter, Shayna Goldberg, from a previous marriage, says he can't wait for the day when he can take his son out golfing.
"He likes watching the golf channel with me," Randy Goldberg said. "He watches it and he doesn't get bored so it's a step in the right direction. We're looking forward to playing golf together. He has his first set of golf clubs, although he still has to grow into them.
"We just want him to be healthy and find happiness, to find a good belief system and to be true to himself. Once you have that, the rest of life is easy."

It's a race with golf thrown into the mix," said Duncombe
"It's a race with golf thrown into the mix," said Duncombe, of Coconut Creek. "We got to go to places and meet people you wouldn't in your regular life."
Jeremy Friedman is in charge of public relations for the Golf Channel.
"We are excited about the series," Friedman said. "It will stretch from St. Augustine to Key West and many points in between."
Through the show's 10 episodes, skills and temperaments are tested under the pressure of knowing teams will be eliminated as the race progresses. More than $100,000 in cash and prizes is at stake.
Duncombe is paired with Weston's Raul Cendoya as one of five teams navigating golf challenges during the 1,000-mile race. Cendoya and Duncombe are friends with Bonaventure Country Club connections in Weston.
Cendoya is an assistant professional at Bonaventure. Duncombe is a professional golfer who has played the Futures Tour and hopes to make it to the LPGA Tour. Her father, Jim Duncombe, a longtime teaching pro, introduced her to Cendoya. The duo won a spot in the series through an audition.
Teams are contractually prevented from giving away too many of the show's details, but Duncombe and Cendoya spoke at length about the pressure and meeting Arnold Palmer on the first episode of the show, which already has aired.
"It was one of the greatest experiences of my life," Duncombe said.
"When I took my first swing on the show, I couldn't pull the club back," Cendoya said. "That's how nerve-racking it was. After the second day, you forget the cameras are there. You just didn't want to get eliminated because you didn't want to miss out on the next great place the show was taking you."Cendoya said she also was impressed with his partner's cool demeanor.
"Jameica always looks so cool, calm and collected," Cendoya said. "Even if she's not feeling that way inside. I think we are the only team that didn't bicker."
The show inspired Duncombe to quit her job and concentrate full-time on her golf game. "I want to see what I can really do in golf," she said. "So, for the near future, it will be my life."

Two CRUCIAL Techniques That Will Make or Break Your Mix in Hip Hop Production
It's all about equilibrium.
The stereo spectrum is the room in the combine amongst your still left and correct ear. In no matter what DAW (Electronic Audio Workstation) you're making use of, there will be a manage on every channel strip that makes it possible for you to pan your sounds from the left to the appropriate. This gives you the potential to put a audio in any place in the stereo spectrum. So for illustration, I could have a track with piano and guitar in it. To give every seem some separation and its very own space on the blend, I'm NOT going to pan both sounds 45% to proper since both sounds would be overlapping every other. As an alternative, I could attempt panning the piano twenty five% to the left and the guitar thirty% to the appropriate and viewing how it seems (this is purely hypothetical, not a difficult and rapidly rule). This would be a considerably far more sensible technique since panning these seems on distinct ends of the stereo spectrum would enable for every seem to have greater clarity in your blend. These are only illustrations, panning your piano 25% to the remaining and your guitar 30% to the right will NOT operate for each and every track you blend.
Now again to sound selection...
Every single seem you use in your track has a particular frequency. With no obtaining also nerdy on you, frequency can be discovered as the Sub-bass (20 to sixty Hz), Bass (sixty to 250 Hz), Minimal-Midrange (250 to 500 Hz), Midrange (five hundred to 2000 kHz), Higher-Midrange (2000 to 4000 kHz), Existence (4000 to 6000 kHz), and Brilliance (6000 to 20,000 kHz). Sub-bass would be your absolute most affordable frequency, that lower rumble you hear in subwoofers in audio methods at golf equipment, automobiles and other spots. Brilliance would be these super large frequencies that presents would some like to get in touch with a "glossy" sound to mixes.
Specifically in Hip Hop instrumentals and city manufacturing in basic, it is all about the reduced-conclude frequencies. People want to hear the drums knock and the sub bass rumble, so that's the example we'll use.
Now allows say we have a kick drum in at 250 Hz panned useless centre (%) in the combine and we have a bass synth also at 250 Hz and panned useless heart in the mix. Not only do we have a kick drum and bass synth, but we have also have an electric bass guitar playing primarily in the 250 Hz variety and panned right in the heart of the stereo spectrum just like the kick drum and bass synth. Guess what your heading to get each time this happens? MUD! Here's why...
Whenever I have appears wanting to carry out the identical task in a mix, there will be competitiveness. If kick drum claims " Hey I want to bring some bass", the Bass synth mentioned " Hey I want to carry some bass" and the Bass guitar also said "Hey i want to provide some bass" there will be an issue due to the fact all a few can't do the very same job. They have to coexist in the mix, not battle every other for the very same job.
