Golf Swing Analysis - How it can help the average golfer

If you are looking to improve your golf game the first thing I would suggest is to establish a consistent golf swing. You know a swing that you feel comfortable with. A swing that puts the ball where you want it instead of hooking, slicing and ending up in the sand. You want a swing that you can be proud of. I know from experience it's easier said than done.

The good news is that there are some great tools and golf training aids avaliable to help you on your path to admiration and glory. But before you begin you need to determine what you are doing wrong.

You can enlist help from a golf professional but that can be expensive. There are services out there that will videotape your swing and make recommendations. They're pretty cool but once again can be a little pricey. There are also golf swing analyzers, golf swing analysis software and golf swing apps that you can use costing anywhere from $100 - $200. We will review those in more detail in a later article.

How can I check my swing?

For a more immediate determination I have found a great place online where you can perform a simple test that will tell all. You don't have to buy anything, you don't need someone to help you and you can do it by yourself at home. Apparently there is one major swing defect that causes 90% of all golf swing errors. This quick and easy test will let you know where you stand. Then you can address the real problem instead of simply guessing or depending on advice from well meaning but misinformed golf buddies. It only takes about 2 minutes and you are on your way to the golf swing you always wanted!

There is also a great course out there called The Simple Golf Swing by David Nevogt.  This extremely popular method can really help you get your game on track.  Many average golfers who have used this method claim it can help solidify your golf swing.  There are techniques in this course that help you easily identify swing errors and correct them while you are still on the course.  That is impressive.  With this method you can be your own best instructor.  As a self proclaimed master of a good deal not only is this course effective it's a real bargain at under $70.
